The Life You Save May Be...

Earl of the many blogs has been cross-posting an appeal to assist with some legal research intended to help preserve Terri Schiavo's life.

Remember her? She's the disabled woman in Florida whose husband is so intent on starving her to death that he's pushing the state's judiciary to go toe to toe with Governor Jeb Bush.

Frankly, I'm ashamed to have gone so long without mentioning the case. Even in the face of travesty, it's difficult for enough people to stay on top of any given issue for long enough to thwart those who have a permanent, non-negotiable interest in pursuing the immoral option. That's no excuse, of course. Until somebody tells Mr. Schiavo and the Florida judiciary that enough is enough — their countrymen have deemed them wrong — the moral side of the battle must maintain its strength.

I am shocked and outraged at the concerted efforts being made to kill Terri Schiavo. Every time it appears she will prevail, counter measures succeed in keeping her life in jeopardy. Everything I've read about Terri's husband, his new woman with whom he has children, the money won in court that he swore was for Terri's care and rehabilitation now being spent on lawyers suing to kill her, in fact his repeated denial of any rehabilitive care for Terri -- leave me flabbergasted! What are Florida's judges thinking?!
